Danbury Man Faces DWI Charge in Southeast

He was weaving across lanes on Route 22, police allege.

David D. Meireles of Danbury, CT, faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Meireles was arrested June 21 after New York state troopers stopped the vehicle he was operating on Route 22 in Southeast, for failure to maintain his lane. An interview of Meireles revealed that he was intoxicated at the time of the stop, police said.

Police said the 23-year-oldΒ provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .11 percent.

He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on June 30.
