Dignan Named All-Section: Southeast-Brewster Daily Sports Digest March 16

Brewster Boys Hoops

We thank Brewster student manager/statistician extraordinaire Drew Podgorski for the below information and also for all his help throughout the basketball season. We look forward to working with him during the upcoming baseball campaign:

The Brewster boys varsity basketball team was honored at the school’s Winter JV/Varsity Sports Award night March 8 at its gymnasium.

Each team was on the court with their proud parents sitting in the bleachers.

Players from all varsity sports who earned all-league, all-conference and all-section were acknowledged. Boys basketball players Jack Dignan and Ryan Mahoney went up and each received a small plaque for their accomplishments.

Both earned all-league honors in Conference 1 League B. Dignan also was named All-Conference and All-Section.

We were the second to last team of the night to stand up and go towards the podium. Coach (John) Martino couldn't be there, so assistant coach (Ed) Mulvihill spoke about the team.

Everyone's name was mentioned and then Chris Volpe received the "Coach's Award".

Adult Coed Soccer

The Brewster Sports Center is holding an adult coed soccer program beginning March 27 with the regular season going to May 31.

Our 13th Annual "Weekend in the Doghouse" Adult Hockey Tournament
The Weekend of Friday, March 30th, through Sunday, April 1st.
The tournament will feature the following three divisions:

 A-level "Open" Division (All ages/skill levels)
*B-level "Over 30" Division
*C-level "Open" Division (All ages)

*Age verification required for all age-restricted divisions.
*Roster approval required for C Division (No Ringers!)
