Don't Miss: Brewster Founder's Day Festival Sunday

BREWSTER, NY — If you aren't already excited about this year's Founder's Day Festival, maybe you should spend some time reading Facebook.

The festival's posts on Facebook, that is. The organizers have been featuring, in turn, many of the local merchants, organizations, and vendors who are participating. It's mouthwatering, for one thing. And full of suggestions for wedding presents, holiday gifts and self-indulgences.

I'm looking forward to the fruit ice bars and drinks from Enoc's Market. And a chicken kabob from Ashley's Deli. Some used books from the Brewster Library. A little info about the Southeast Museum, the Putnam Health Department, and a howdy to my friends at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church booth. A little holiday shopping, and just maybe a present for myself.

The action will be downtown from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
