Duo Facing Drug Charges In Putnam County
It started with a traffic stop on I-84, New York state police said.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A traffic stop on I-84 in Putnam County led to drug charges for a Long Island man and a Queens woman Saturday. State police said they pulled a 2008 BMW over at about 9:50 p.m. for violations of the New York vehicle and traffic laws.
While interviewing the occupants of the car, police said they saw an open bottle of liquor; and they allege a bag containing cocaine was observed when the driver opened the glove box to retrieve his vehicle registration.
Police allege further investigation found approximately 313 grams of cocaine.

Vladimir F. Revil, 37, of Hempstead, NY, and Jessica Sylvester, 34, of Queens, NY, were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, a class A-I felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with the Intent to Sell, a class B felony.

Revil and Sylvester were arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail without bail.
