Dutchess County Man Killed In Putnam Crash

KENT, NY — A Dutchess County man was killed Monday when he crashed into the sign for a Lake Carmel deli. Edward Collins, 63, of Holmes, was driving south on Route 52 when he veered into the opposite lane, went off the road and hit the sign for Gino’s Grab and Go Deli.

Police said it was unclear why Collins crashed, lohud.com said.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m., and Route 52 was closed for several hours.
