Joseph J. Faraone, a former priest in the New York Archdiocese who was convicted of sex abuse, died July 20, 2022 at his residence in Brewster of natural causes. He was 75.

As a priest, Faraone served at four churches in the Hudson Valley. He had worked at St. Francis of Assisi in Mount Kisco from 1973-89; St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown, 1990-2001; St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel 2001-03; and the Church of St. Denis in Hopewell Junction from 2004-06, before going on leave in 2007, according to Horowitz Law.
