Coronavirus Exposure At St. James, ShopRite On Sunday

If you attended or worked the 10 a.m. Mass or went to the Shop Rite on Route 52 between 1 and 3 p.m., you may have been exposed.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — If you attended or worked the 10 a.m. Mass at St. James Church in Carmel Sunday, or went to the Shop Rite on Route 52 between 1 and 3 p.m., you may have been exposed to the new coronavirus.

County health officials issued a health alert Tuesday, saying that someone who was at both places Sunday has since tested positive for the virus.

Health department officials warn people to watch for symptoms of COVID-19 which include fever, chills, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
