Hopewell Junction Couple Accused in Putnam County Burglary
The county sheriff alleges jewelry was recovered when a search warrant was executed.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Hopewell Junction couple on felony charges.
On Aug. 9, criminal investigators from the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation along with members of the Town of East Fishkill Police Department executed a search warrant at 42 Quail Run Road, Hopewell Junction, New York pursuant to a burglary investigation.
During the search of the residence, a quantity of jewelry that had been reported stolen from a Putnam County residence on July 21 was recovered by investigators.

They arrested Frank A. Mazzola, 29, and Mary K. Mazzola, 31 of that address. Mary Mazzola was charged with two counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, felonies. Frank Mazzola was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree.
Both were arraigned before Town of Patterson Justice Anthony Mole and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond pending a future court appearance. If found guilty of the felony charges, Mary Mazzola could face up to 15 years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $15,000. Anthony Mazzola could face up to 4 years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000.
