Jail Time For Putnam Heroin Dealer
He was arrested in 2020 after an investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Kyle Novotny of Mahopac, who pleaded guilty in December to several felony charges connected to drug dealing, was sentenced to seven years in state prison, District Attorney Robert Tendy announced Thursday.
Novoty, now 27, was arrested in 2020 after an investigation into criminal activities that included selling heroin to a person working for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
He pleaded guilty in December 2021 to Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. All are felonies.

Novotny was arrested at his Mahopac residence on Nov. 4, 2020. While inside, members of NEU recovered an unregistered and loaded Glock 44 handgun, which Novotny admitted was his.
In addition to prison time, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Mole ordered 2 years post-release supervision.

The investigation was conducted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics
Enforcement Unit. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Breanne Smith.
