Letter to the Editor: Fanizzi Out of Line Again

The writer supports the Crossroads 312 project.

To the Editor:

After reading Ann Fanizzi’s letter on Patch disparaging me and my Republican party, I couldn’t sit still and not respond. Like I said in my letter to the town board, I moved here right before September 11, 2001. In my 13 1/2 years of living in this community, I’ve contributed far more positively than Ms. Fanizzi could in a lifetime.

The Brewster School District has a beautiful turf field due to my efforts and the efforts of a handful of other local community members. As a business owner, my wife and I have donated thousands of dollars of products to local organizations such as the Putnam Women’s Resource Center, American Cancer Society, and every possible organization associated with the Brewster School District.

Ms. Fanizzi on the other hand has been nothing but disruptive in the efforts to move this town forward in a positive direction for ALL Town of Southeast residents. I used to think we were Republicans and Democrats moving together in the right direction until about 6 years ago. The playing field has clearly changed. I feel it’s past time to dig our heels in and fight for what is left of an America that Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Reagan might recognize.

As far as my military service, I spent 20 years flying off aircraft carriers to defend the freedoms of ALL U.S. Citizens. I’ve flown in intense combat both in Iraq and Yugoslavia. I’ve spent years separated from my family. Don’t ask me Ms. Fanizzi where I’ve been. I have never even met you but that speaks volumes about your credibility.
