Looking for Volunteer Opportunities? Putnam Hospital is Looking for You
A new initiative is called "Let Me Take You There"
Volunteer Services at Putnam Hospital Center is looking to recruit 15 to 20 volunteer for a new initiative at the facility.
The βLet Me Take You Thereβ program is meant to enhance the visitor experience at the hospital. The new volunteers will be stationed at two lobby entrances in the hospital to welcome and escort visitors to their destination including medical and surgical appointments and patient floors and provide wheelchair assistance to ensure efficiency, safety and peace of mind.
βOur campus has grown so much over the years. Some of our visitors find it difficult to navigate the buildings,β said Michelle Piazza, director of Volunteer and Pastoral Services. βThis is one way to engage with the public and to help alleviate any concerns about getting around.β
