A Carmel man faces charges of burglary and criminal mischief.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Carmel man on a charge of burglary.
On August 29, 2016, a burglary was reported at the Xclusive Cuts establishment located at 880 South Lake Boulevard in Mahopac. An investigation revealed that entry had been gained through a side door and money was stolen from the cash register and workstation cubby.
As a result of the investigation, Armando L. Cass, 44, of 3 Indian Avenue, Carmel was identified as a suspect. On September 6, 2016, investigators from the Sheriffβs Department Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on Cassβs vehicle and residence. The investigators arrested Cass and charged him with Burglary in the Third Degree and with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, felonies.

If found guilty of the felony charges , he could face up to seven years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000.
