Niche.com, a rankings and review site, has compiled its list of “2016 Best Public High Schools in New York.”
These rankings are based on state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, student and parent reviews, and more.

Niche.com compiled a nationwide list of all high schools, and 11 New York schools are in the top 50, including No. 19 Rye High School, No. 40 Chappaqua’s Horace Greeley High School, No. 46 Scarsdale High School and No. 50 Blind Brook High School in Rye Brook.
According to Niche.com, the top 5 public high schools nationwide are: No. 1. Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, N.Y., No. 2 High Technology High School in Lincroft, N.J., No. 3. Staten Island Technical High School in Staten Island, N.Y., No. 4. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia, and No. 5 Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois.
