Obituary: Albert Virgo Sr. of Carmel
Visitation will be held today at Beecher Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated Feb. 14 at St. James Church, Gleneida Avenue, Carmel.

Albert Virgo Sr., of Carmel, NY, formerly of Hamilton, NY, died peacefully at Putnam Hospital Center on Monday February 10, 2020.
Born on February 18, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Christopher and Matilda (Gargiulo) Virgo. Albert received his associate degree from Pratt Institute.

On November 25, 1956 he married the love of his life Lucille Gallo. Together they raised their family of three sons in Long Island before ultimately moving to Hamilton, NJ 20 years ago.
Al was an engineer with Ebasco Inc. in New York City for 13 years before retiring in 1991. He was a 4th degree Grand Knight in the Hamilton Council #6213. Al enjoyed fishing with his sons when they were younger and in retirement. He enjoyed teaching line dancing and was known as the DJ.

His greatest passion in life was his family, he was a wonderful husband, great father and an amazing grandfather.
Mr. Virgo is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucille, his 3 sons; Christopher Virgo and his wife Denise of Whitehouse Station, NJ, James Virgo of Lovell, WY, Albert Virgo Jr. and his wife Patricia of Brewster, NY, his granddaughters; Casey Virgo and Ciara Virgo both of Brewster.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday February 14, 2020 at St. James Church, Gleneida Avenue, Carmel at 10:15 am. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be held Thursday at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm.
