Obituary: Amos Loach, Co-Founder Of Lamothermic Corp.

The longtime Brewster resident and business owner emigrated to the United States as a child.

Amos Noach, a resident of Brewster, NY passed away at Weill Cornell New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City on Friday, February 25, 2022, after a long battle with blood cancer that he so much wanted to win. He was 71 years young.

Amos was born on June 24, 1950, in Kfar Saba, Israel. He was the son of Selien (Pollack) and Max Noach. He immigrated to the United States in 1961 and graduated from Yorktown High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

On May 13, 1989, Amos married his best friend Toni Coladarci in Brewster, New York.

After working 2 years in the steel melting industry, Amos started his own casting business, Lamothermic Corp, in 1976, with the help of his college roommate, Lanning Brandel, and his brother, Gideon Noach. Lamothermic Corp still operates today in Brewster, New York.

Amos was proud of Lamothermic and of his employees, many of whom became close friends over the years. He was known to say, “I don’t work, I play”. He was a loving and caring person always willing and wanting to help all.

Amos was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, music, attending concerts, boating, and “playing” in the yard. He was a humble man that was loved and appreciated by many.

Amos is survived by his loving wife, Toni, his daughter, Melissa (Alessandro Moreira) Moreira of Danbury, CT; his sons, Adam (Fiona Emmi-Noach) of New Paltz, NY, and Garrett (Emily Walsh) of Brewster, NY as well as his brothers, Gideon of Brewster, NY and Ilan (Barbara) of White Plains, NY.

Memorial hours will be held on Tuesday, March 8 from 4-8 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
