Obituary: Ann P. Briscoe of Brewster

Ann P. Briscoe of Brewster, NY, passed away Saturday September 10, 2022, in Somers, NY at the age of 88.

She was born March 1, 1934, in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late John and Hannah Mae (Moynihan) Keenan. She graduated from St. Jeanne The Baptist High School in Manhattan, NY in 1951. On April 21, 1956, Ann married Thomas J. Briscoe Sr. in Bronx, NY.

They moved to Brewster in 1969 where they became members of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church. Ann worked as an administrative assistant for Huntsman Chemical in Brewster, retiring in 2000. She had also been a dedicated employee for Chase Manhattan Bank and Ciba Geigy. She was a member of the Red Hats and Mothers Guild of St. Lawrence O’Toole.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Thomas. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Storey and her husband William of Jupiter, FL; sons Thomas Briscoe Jr. and his wife Barbara of Cornwall, NY and Gerard Briscoe and his wife Cathy of Pawling, NY; Grandchildren Meghan Ann Jeffords, Michael Thomas and Kathleen Hannah Storey, Kristen Marie Briscoe and Kerry Ann Johnstone, Kelly Josephine, Kimberly Marion and Thomas Joseph Briscoe and Joseph, Allie and Cullen Malzo; great grandchildren Austin and Riley Jeffords, Matthew Briscoe Fortuna , Cameron Archer Johnstone, Joseph Malzo and McKenna Storey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Richard and Thomas Keenan.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday September 16, 2022, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, followed by the interment in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY. Calling hours will take place on Thursday September 15, 2022, at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
