Obituary: Arlene S. Steinhardt of Brewster

Arlene S. Steinhardt of Brewster, NY, passed away at home with her family at her side, Monday May 2, 2022, at the age of 74.

She was born April 26, 1948 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Winstanley) Purdy, she graduated from Commerce High School in Yonkers, NY and on December 6, 1969, Arlene married George Steinhardt in Yonkers. They have lived in Brewster, NY for the past 41 years.

Besides her husband George, Arlene is survived by her daughters Kimberly and Kristine Steinhardt of Brewster, NY; sisters Karen Ratajack of Brewster, NY, Diana Holloway of Rapid City, SD; brothers Cliff Purdy of Peekskill, NY and Bob Purdy of Brewster, NY and her granddaughter Montana Steinhardt. She was predeceased by her brother Brian Purdy.

The interment will take place on Friday May 6, 2022, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 5, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm service, at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY.
