Obituary: Camille McAuliffe of Brewster

Camille McAuliffe of Brewster, NY, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, in Carmel, NY, at the age of 89.

Camille was born September 4, 1933, in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian (Cossa) Sasso. She graduated from Evander Childs High School in Bronx, NY. On September 11, 1954, she married William E. McAuliffe at Immaculate Conception Church in Bronx, NY. William predeceased Camille in 1972. Camille moved to Brewster thirty-two years ago from the Bronx. She had worked as a manager at Apple Bank in Scarsdale, NY, for twenty-one years, retiring in 1993. She then worked for U.S. Alliance in Hawthorne, NY, for twenty years.

Camille is predeceased by her brother, Anthony Sasso, and is survived by her daughters Karen DiTaranto of Brewster, NY, and Susan Elezaj of Yonkers, NY; grandchildren Kristine, Vincent and his wife Angela, Nicholas and his wife Adriana, Michael, Catherine and her husband Michael, Matthew and Lauren and great-grandchildren Noah, Ezra, Michael, Scarlett and Lucas.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday January 19 2023, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY, followed by the Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Calling hours will take place Tuesday January 17, 2023, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
