Obituary: Concetta Broker of Brewster

Concetta ‘Connie’ Broker of Brewster, NY passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on October 25, 2021. She was 65 years old.

Connie was born on July 3, 1956, in the Forest Hills section of Queens, NY, daughter of Theresa (Intindoli) and Sebastiano Sora. She was a graduate of Brewster High School and attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Manhattan, NY.

On September 10, 1983, Connie married the love of her life, Walter Broker, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Connie worked as a Supply Chain Coordinator for DRS Technologies in Danbury, CT. She loved to crochet and enjoyed passing time reading or playing online word games. Her family was her world, and she lived her life for them, especially her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her husband Walter; her daughters, Laura (Robert ‘Bobby’) D’Allesandro of Yonkers, NY, and Marie Broker, of Brewster, NY; her sister, Frances (Carl) Macomber of Brewster, NY, her brothers, Michael Sora of Carmel, NY and Sebastian (Cynthia) Sora of Longs, SC as well as nieces and nephews and, most importantly, her grandchildren, Theresa and Anthony D’Allesandro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY, followed by interment at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2021, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.beecherfuneralhome.com.
