Obituary: Dorothy P. Babcock

Dorothy P. Babcock, of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 7, 2020. She was 92 years old.

Born on November 8, 1927 in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late George and Minnie (Kagel) Kay.
Dorothy married J. Neale Babcock in October 1966 at the First United Methodist Church of Brewster, Brewster, NY. Neale predeceased his wife on November 29, 2006.

Dorothy was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Brewster, where she was a choir member and taught bible study for many years. She enjoyed scrabble, crossword puzzles and watching classic TV shows. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children; Donna Carlson of Palmer, MA, Darcey (Joey) Wulkan of Brewster, NY and Douglas Scofield of Greenwich, CT; her 6 grandchildren; Aimee (Tom) Walat, Jeffrey (Valerie) Carlson, Rebecca (Matt) Pickering, Kayley Wulkan, Jordan Scofield and Chayene Scofield; her 4 loving great grandchildren, Madison Walat, Mackenzie Walat, Delaney Walat and Stella Pickering. Dorothy was pre-deceased by her sons, D. Peter Scofield and David Scofield.

A private family burial will be held at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY.
