Obituary: Edward A. Campo of North Salem

Edward A. Campo of North Salem, NY, passed away Thursday March 30, 2023, in North Salem at the age of 92.

Edward was born July 15, 1930, in New York, NY, son of the late Francis and Rose (Squtirri) Campo. Edward earned his bachelor’s degree from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, then served in the Army from 1949 to 1953. On September 5,1953 he married Elaine Solimando in New York, NY. They lived in White Plains, NY before moving to North Salem, NY. Edward was the controller and Vice President of PBS in Manhattan retiring in 1994.

Edward was predeceased by his wife Elaine on March 22, 2022, and daughter Dawn Griffo. He is survived by his son Todd Campo and his wife Cara of Fairfield, CT; daughter Dana Morin and her husband Mark of North Salem, NY; grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Brent, Siena, Maxwell, and Loren and eight great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a service at 12:00 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY. The interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
