John A. LaGuardia, of Brewster, NY died, at home, on Thursday November 4, 2021. He was 85 years old.

Born on March 21, 1936, in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of Louise (Calvelli) and Anthony LaGuardia.He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and served in the Missile Battalion of the Army during the Korean War.

On April 11, 1959, John Married the love of his life, Lucyann Norelli at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Bronx, NY.

John was a Store Manager for A&P in Mt. Kisco for over 20 years. He served in the Brewster Fire Department for 57 years and was honored for 50 years of service with them in 2014. He was an NRA instructor for many years as well.

John was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved hunting, archery, and feeding his birds.

John is survived by his loving wife, Lucy; his daughters, Luanne LaGuardia Kozak of Somers, NY, and Lisa LaGuardia (John) Tremblay of Brewster, NY; his grandchildren, Matthew Kozak of Brookfield CT, Tyler Tremblay of New Fairfield, CT and Erika Tremblay of Brewster, NY; and his sister, Catherine Petersen of Somers, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 10, 2021, 11:00am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 34 Prospect Street, Brewster, NY. Inurnment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Milltown Rd, Brewster, NY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9 from 4-8 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.
