John M. Tito of Brewster, NY passed away Thursday April 14, 2022, in Carmel, NY at the age of 85.
He was born October 19, 1936, in Manhattan, NY, son of the late Anthony and Carmela (Palmieri) Tito.John graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in 1954, then served in the Army from 1956 to 1958. On April 15, 1961, John married the love of his life, Mary Pastore. They lived on Hollywood Avenue in the Bronx until 2005 when they moved to Brewster.

John was a Specialist Clerk on the American Stock Exchange for 36 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in the Bronx and was a proud veteran who loved his country. Nothing meant more to John than his faith and his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary and his children; Laura Dicanio and her husband Mark of Somers NY, Lisa Colangelo and husband Michael Prangley of Danbury, CT, Anthony Tito and his fiancée Melissa Curylo of Plantsville, CT, Jonnine Thomas and her husband Guy of Brewster, NY and Steven Tito of West Harrison, NY; brother Joseph Tito of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Anthony, Mark, Ariana, Michael, Alex, Guy Joseph, Geena and Samantha; great grandchildren Michael, Avah, Georgianne, Matthew, Anabel, Mark, Nicolette and Michael. He was predeceased by his daughter in Law Daniela Tito and brother Anthony Tito.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday April 19, 2022, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster at 10:00 am, followed by the interment in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
Calling hours will be held on Monday April 18, 2022, at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY 10509 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
