Mark Brent of Brewster, NY passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Monday, August 16, 2021.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he is the son of the late Edward and Carolyn (Maas) Brent. He is a graduate of Briarcliff High School in Briarcliff Manor, NY.

He married Norma Casenas, in Mt. Kisco, NY and together they moved to Brewster.
Mark was a retired Sergeant from the Department of Corrections in Valhalla, NY. He was dedicated, loved his work, and was well loved by his colleagues.

A fitness enthusiast, Mark also loved nature, gardening, and admiring the result of his labor in his landscaping. He was known as ‘Big Dog’; a gentle giant, a man with a big heart who loved telling corny jokes. Mark is very much loved by his wife, family, and friends, and his big heart and crazy sense of humor will be missed.
Mr. Brent is survived by his wife Norma, and members of his family. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved grandmother, Clara Maas.
Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Tuesday, August 24 from 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
