Mary Lou (Kilcoyne) Lynch passed away at home in Brookfield, CT on April 16, 2023. Pre-deceased by her husband, Kenneth Michael Lynch, and her sister Judith (Kilcoyne) Bruen, Mary Lou is survived by her sister, Eloise (Kilcoyne) Viola, her six children: Kevin (Denise), Patrick, Kathryn “Katy”, Elizabeth “Betsy” Wiedmann (Fred), Peter, Mary Ross (James), and six grandchildren: Stacey, Mackenzie, Tiernan, Rory, Evan, and Coleman.
Born July 27, 1938, Mary Lou graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Good Counsel College in White Plains, NY, now part of Pace University. Married on August 27, 1960 to Ken Lynch, and living in Wilton, CT, she was a stay-at-home-mom until she was presented with an opportunity to fill in for a friend for the summer at a local business, the temporary job that never ended. The company merged into Reader’s Digest where Mary Lou continued working until her retirement.

Mary Lou’s non-working years and days were filled with creative projects and groups. She loved quilting, cross stitch, needle work, crafts, woodworking and painting, knitting, gardening, and so much more. She belonged to several groups who shared her passions: Our Lady of Fatima Christmas Workshop, Embroiderers’ Guild of America, the Brewster Carmel Garden Club. There are still WIP (works-in-progress) at the house, and pins stuck in the arm of her chair.
Funeral services will be organized by Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday April 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 31 Prospect Avenue in Brewster, NY followed by a followed by burial at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery Turk Hill Rd Brewster, NY 10509.
