Obituary: Maureen Costa of Brewster

Maureen Costa, of Brewster, NY, died on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at Putnam Hospital Center. She was 78 years old.

Born on September 23, 1941 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Reape) Sinlinky. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, NY.

Maureen married the love of her life Anthony Costa. Anthony predeceased his wife. She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY, she had a great devotion to the Divine Mercy and all things Catholic, collecting a lot of rosaries over her years. Mrs. Costa was great with tools; she enjoyed building and made the cabinets in her home.

Mrs. Costa is survived by her loving children; Anthony (Frances) Costa of Brewster, NY, Donna (Richie) Dosin of Hastings NY, her 3 grandchildren; Jennifer, Katie and Richie Dosin and her brother Michael Silinsky of Norwalk, CT.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Sacred Heart Church, Haviland Drive, Patterson, NY. Her ashes will be buried in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Yonkers, NY. Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY is assisting the family with arrangements.
