Obituary: Michael John Keegan

Michael John Keegan, of Brewster, NY, died peacefully at Sligo University Hospital in Sligo, Ireland with his family by his side on December 22, 2019. He was 63 years old.

Born on July 18, 1956 in Greghnafarna, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. He moved to the United States in 1987.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Geraldine, his three daughters Tara, Michelle and Jaclyn, his mother Josephine (McHugh) Keegan Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, Ireland; his two sisters Mary McPadden Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, Ireland and Josephine Nicholson, Ballinfull, Co. Sligo, Ireland; his brother Stephen “Junior” Keegan, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Ireland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Stephen Keegan Greghnafarna, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, Ireland.

Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 pm. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster, NY at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
