Obituary: Michaelene A. Kamin Of Carmel

Michaelene A. Kamin of Carmel, NY, passed away at home Wednesday August 10, 2022, at the age of 73.

Michaelene was born July 28, 1949 in Binghamton, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Wanda (Balcer) Laskowski II. She graduated from High School in 1966 then attended Pace University where she earned her degree in nursing. Michaelene moved to Carmel from Binghamton fifty years ago. On October 3, 1983, she married Dr. Henry Kamin in Carmel, NY. Michaelene worked as an RN for Dr. Kamin for forty years. She also had worked at Putnam Hospital Centre and Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers in Brewster, NY.

Besides her husband Dr. Kamin she is survived by her children Melissa Kamin of Carmel, NY, Mindy Kamin Diaz and her husband Ignacio of Metepec, Mexico, Dr. Richard Kamin and his wife Susan of West Hartford, CT; brother Thomas Laskowski III of Binghamton, NY and grandchildren Hannah, Carmelita, Lya, Liam, Daniel and Katherine. She was predeceased by her daughter Fran Kamin.

Calling hours will be held at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY on Tuesday August 16, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a funeral service during the hours at 7:30pm. The interment will follow on Wednesday August 17, 2022, in St. Stanislaus Kosta Cemetery in Binghamton, NY.
