Obituary: Pasquale Palmieri Of Brewster

Pasquale Palmieri, a resident of Brewster, NY, formerly of Bronx, NY died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 26, 2022. He was 90 years old.

Born on April 5, 1931 in Torrice, Frosinone, Italy, Pasquale was the son of Domenico and Angela (Paniccia) Palmieri.

On February 1, 1953, Pasquale married the love of his life, Gelsomina Paniccia in Torrice, Frosinone, Italy.

In his early thirties Pasquale immigrated to the United States leaving his family behind, to begin building a better life for all of them. His family was able to join him 10 years later, in 1970.

Pasquale was a Stone Mason for 50 years. Many of those years he worked for Local 731 in Manhattan, NY.

Besides his wife of 69 years, Gelsomina, Pasquale is survived by his two children: Plinio (Giovanna) Palmieri of Brewster, NY and Milena (Peter) Santamaria of Brewster, NY; his three grandchildren: Juliana Santamaria of Brewster, NY, Patricia (Wayne) Santamaria-Rollins of Seattle, WA, and Domenico (Lourdes) Palmieri of Torrice, Frosinone, Italy; his five great-grandchildren; Mason and Milena Rollins of Seattle, WA, and Angelina, Gelsomina, and Domenico Palmieri Jr. as well as his brother Lino Palmieri of Yonkers, NY.

Pasquale was predeceased by his parents and three sisters, Olinda, Nella, and Nicolina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 1, 10AM at St. Lawrence O’ Toole Church, Brewster, NY. Interment will be In Torrice, Frosinone, Italy. Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster On Monday January 31, 2022 from 4pm – 8pm.
