Obituary: Rita O’Meara, Longtime Brewster Resident

Rita O’Meara, age 76, passed away surrounded by family at Putnam Hospital on February 25, 2020. Rita was born on January 25, 1944 in County Wexford, Ireland to John and Ita Gallagher.

Rita was a resident of Brewster for 47 years. She worked as a mortgage officer for PCSB in Brewster as well.

Rita is survived by her partner Ray Larkin, as well as her son Brian and daughter Maeve. Also, five grandchildren; Chloe, Jack, Bryce, Rowen and Nathaniel. She is also survived by sisters, Joan, Florrie and Renee.

A wake will be held on Friday February 28, 2020 from 4pm-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, a service will take place during the wake.
