Obituary: Robert L. Odell

Robert L. Odell, age 76, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at NY Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt, NY.

Born on September 27, 1945 in Mt Kisco, NY, son of the late George and Dorothy (See) Odell. Robert attended schools in Somers, NY and proudly served his country in the army during the Vietnam War.

Robert was an electrician for Camp Smith in Peekskill, NY for 29 years, retiring in 2019. Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast.

He was a very talented carpenter.

Robert is survived by his sister Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Fahs and her husband Karl of Carmel, NY; his nieces Doreen Fahs-Ashby and Lisa Mayfield and his nephews, Paul Fahs and Albert Fahs. He was predeceased by his brother George Odell.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 18 at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. Interment followed at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in Robert’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
