Obituary: Robert Mayes of Hopewell Junction

Robert Mayes of Hopewell Jct. NY passed away Monday April 17, 2023, at home at the age of 57.

Robert was born January 10, 1966, in Carmel NY son of Robert F. Mayes and the late Karen (VanKeuren) Mayes.

Robert worked as a well driller for P.F Beal & Sons Inc. in Brewster. He previously was employed by the Town of Kent Highway Department of Sanitation and Boyd Well Drilling in Kent, NY. During his free time, Robert loved going for bikes rides on his Harley as well as riding quads and going snowmobiling.

Robert is survived by his brother and sister in-law Wayne and Veronica Mayes of Hopewell Jct., sister and brother in-law Tracy and Randy Myers of Tunkhannock, PA; his loving girlfriend Susan Darlington; as well as his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Maria, Dillon, Randy, Megan, Buddy, Ashley, Jenn, and Nicole.

Visitation hours will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023. A service will be at Beecher Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery.
