Robert S. Hammond, a resident of Brewster, NY, died unexpectedly on Wednesday March 16, 2022. He was 67 years old.

Born on March 8, 1955, in Buffalo, NY, Robert was the son of Walter and Helen (Sohl) Hammond.

He graduated from North Salem High School in 1973 and served in the US Navy. He and Margaret Mack married in 1986 and settled in Brewster to raise their family.

Robert will be remembered for his biting wit and big personality. He was always willing to lend a hand. Robert spent the later part of his life spoiling The Mellon.

Robert is survived by his three daughters, Amanda (Scott) Yager of New Milford, CT, Ashley Hammond of Poughquag, NY, and Michaela Hammond of New Milford, CT; his 3 grandchildren, Astrid and Oz Yager and Ruby Simpson, all of New Milford, CT, as well as his siblings, James W. Hammond of Las Vegas, NV, and Lynne (Robert) Noxon of Tennessee.

Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Interment will be private. Condolences may be left for the family at www.beecherfuneralhome.com
