Obituary: Roger John Saas, Longtime Brewster Resident

Roger John Saas, a resident of Brewster, NY, passed away on Thursday March 17, 2022 at the age of 76 after a short illness.

Born June 13, 1945, in New York, NY, Roger was the son of John and Elizabeth Saas. He grew up in the city attending the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan.

After graduating high school Roger served in the United States Army for 2 years.

While serving in the Army, Roger married Linda A Bush and they had two children together. After his discharge Roger and Linda made their home in Brewster NY where Roger was a dedicated employee of AT&T and NY Bell for 35 years until he retired.

Roger was an amateur artist and avid photographer. He enjoyed using and working on his cameras and tech toys. He was fun-loving and enjoyed things like video games and RC Cars. He enjoyed socializing at Tom and Jerry’s and playing Keno.

Roger is survived by his constant companion, Barbara; his son, Christopher Saas of Yorktown, NY; his daughter Andrea Saas of Redding, CT, and his three grandchildren, Christopher Saas and Sarah Saas, both of Brewster, NY and Layne Reed of Redding, CT.

Memorial hours will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Monday, March 28, 2022 between 5PM and 7PM. Interment will be private.
