Shirley D. Creazzo of Brewster, NY, passed away at Paramount Rehabilitation in Somers, NY while recuperating from a short stay in the hospital on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the age of 88.

Shirley was born April 6, 1935, in Queens, NY, daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Tolano) Dichtelmiller. She graduated from Newtown High School and the Traphagen School of Fashion. On April 3, 1954, she married the love of her life, Anthony (Tony) Creazzo in Queens Village. Anthony predeceased her on July 17, 1982. Shirley worked in Animation for Screen Cartoonist Local 841 in New York. She worked on many early cartoons such as Popeye, Casper the Ghost, Baby Huey, Little Audrey and many others. She loved gardening, baking, photography, drawing, knitting, was a voracious reader, and she especially loved spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her children Paul Creazzo and his wife Sharon of Brewster, NY, Thomas Creazzo of Tuxedo, NY and Christine Groppe and her husband Paul of Carmel, NY, her sister Arlyne Lindsy of Napanoch, NY; grandchildren Casey and husband Stacy, Taylor, Ryan and wife Stephanie, Jackie and great grandchild Pierce.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday May 25, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. The burial will be private.
