Obituary: Thomas David Tavino, 41

Thomas David Tavino of West Hartford, CT, formerly of Brewster, NY, died peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

Born in Carmel, NY on January 18, 1981, Thomas is the son of Louis and Mary (Whelly) Tavino of Brewster, NY. Thomas was a 1999 graduate of Brewster High School then continued his education at Marist College, earning his bachelor’s degree.

On August 9, 2014, he married the love of his life, Samantha Beryl Stahl at the Tavino home in Brewster, New York.

Thomas worked as the Senior Director of Marketing for Takeda Pharmaceuticals. He was an avid Mets fan, he had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed golf and blackjack.

Thomas’ loss will be keenly felt by all those he has left behind, especially his parents, Louis and Mary; his wife, Samantha; his son, Tommy; his daughter, Codie; his brothers, Christopher (Sherry) Tavino of Danbury, CT and Daniel (Candace) Tavino of Danbury, CT; as well as his niece and nephew, Lucas and Michaela Tavino.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY.

Visitation will be held at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 2pm-9pm.
