Obituary: William Rilley, 79

William Rilley, 79, of North Salem, NY, passed away at The Paramount in Somers, NY on June 14, 2022.

William was born April 11, 1943, in Yonkers, NY son of the late John and Florence (Welsh) Rilley. He was a graduate of Saunders Trade and Technical High School in Yonkers, NY.

William married Barbara (Rice) in May 1964 in Mt. Vernon, NY. They moved to North Salem from Yonkers 53 years ago. Barbara predeceased him in May 2003.

He worked in the printing industry for 43 years until his retirement in 2004.

William is survived by his sons William (Meredith) Rilley of New Fairfield CT, Michael (Stacey) Rilley of New Milford, CT, and James (Meghan) Rilley of Newburgh NY; brother, Gary Rilley of Yonkers, NY; Grandchildren, Cassidy and Mckenna Rilley and Liam and Neve Rilley, his companion, Maureen Markelon of Oxford, CT, his brother-in-law William J. Rice, Jr., sister-in-law Patricia Rice, beloved nieces and nephews, and Grant cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack Rilley, last month.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Somers, NY at 10am on Tuesday, June 21,2022 followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. Calling hours were held at The Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, June 20, 2022.
