Police Arrest 5 on Alcohol-Related Charges
The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Officials from the barracks recently arrested the following individuals:
- Southeast resident Sabas E. Coronado, 34, around 10:20 p.m. Sunday on N Brewster Road in Southeast. Troopers stopped Coronado, who was driving a 1995 Toyota T100, after he allegedly performed an illegal U-turn. Police said the defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.24 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. Coronado is facing several infractions, including drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, and the following misdemeanors: driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond, pending a May 17 appearance in Southeast Justice Court. According to officials, Coronado also has a case pending before U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
- Danbury, CT resident Izaias Soares-Ferreira, 22, around 4:10 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Routes 6 and 121 in Southeast. Troopers reportedly stopped Soares-Ferreira, who was driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza, for a loud muffler. Police said the defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.10 percent. The defendant is facing two infractions, as well as a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. Authorities released him pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court this week.
- Brookfield, CT resident Joseph M. Matias, 27, around 3:40 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 84 in Southeast. Troopers reportedly stopped Matias, who was driving a 2012 Ford F350, for speeding. Police said the defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.11 percent. Matias is facing a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. Police released him pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court this week.
- Southeast resident William H. Beltran, 36, around 2:45 a.m. Saturday on Doansburg Road in Patterson. Troopers stopped Beltran, who was driving a 2008 Honda Accord, for allegedly crossing hazardous road markings. The defendant's blood-alcohol level was unavailable Tuesday afternoon. He is facing a misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated. Police released the defendant pending an April 24 appearance in Patterson Justice Court.
- Danbury, CT resident Nicole M. Goodhue, 22, around 2 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 84 in Southeast. Troopers reportedlu stopped Goodhue, who was driving a 2012 Hyundai Tucson, for speeding. She reportedly refused to submit to alcohol screening. Goodhue is facing two misdemeanors—one count of driving while intoxicated and one count of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation—as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police released the defendant pending an April 24 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
