Putnam Issues 2 Coronavirus Exposure Alerts

County health officials asked people who were at either place to watch for symptoms of COVID-19.

Putnam County health officials have issued alerts about coronavirus exposure at a Dunkin Donuts in Brewster and a Mexican restaurant in Mahopac.

If you worked at or visited Dunkin’ Donuts at 1 Star Ridge Road, Brewster on:

  • Friday, October 16 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 17 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 18 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You may have been exposed to the coronavirus.

If you worked at or visited Tijuana Mexican Restaurant & Cantina at 376 Route 6, Mahopac on
Saturday, October 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. you may have been exposed to the coronavirus. A member of the public who has tested positive for COVID-19 was at the restaurant during that time.

Health officials asked people who were at either place to watch for symptoms of COVID-19 which include fever, chills, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea. Contact your physician with any concerns.

In Putnam County on Wednesday, 13 out of 594 people who were tested tested positive for coronavirus, a 3.1 percent positivity rate, according to the state tracker map.
