Putnam Jail Accredited For Health Services
Being accredited demonstrates that the Correctional Facility meets or exceeds national standards.
From Putnam County Sheriff: Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. announces that the Putnam County Correctional Facility, in partnership with its medical provider PRIMECARE, Inc. has achieved a Certificate of Accreditation from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). On May 6, 2019 Sheriff Langley was officially notified from the NCCHC that they had voted to accredit the Putnam County Correctional Facility for its compliance with the NCCHC’s Standards for Health Services in Jails.
“Being ‘accredited’ demonstrates that our Correctional Facility meets or exceeds National standards and best practices in providing medical, dental and mental health care to the facility’s inmates, which, in turn can lead to a reduced health risk to the community once inmates are released”, Langley points out.
