In addition to his work as a field paramedic, Quake is a faculty member for the National Association of EMS Educators and has traveled across the country teaching other professionals advanced life-saving skills.
“Mr. Quake has the experience and drive to lead our Emergency Medical Services into the future,” said Ken Clair, Commissioner of the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. “Over the years, he has held progressively responsible positions in EMS as a clinician, educator and administrator. He is also known nationally as an educator, and will bring that presence to our office.”
In his new position, Quake will be responsible for the oversight of county EMS agencies and EMS education programs. He will also assist with other duties to ensure we are able to serve our community. Quake was selected after interviews with several candidates, and will replace Bob Cuomo, who retired from the Bureau more than a year ago.
