NYSEG Reports 12,000+ Without Power On Christmas Day
Most are in Southeast, Carmel and Kent. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Power went out in portions of Putnam and northern Westchester after 1 p.m. Christmas Day. NYSEG reports more than 12,000 customers without power as of 3 p.m. Monday.
The bulk of the outages are in Carmel, where NYSEG reports 5,110 out. Add that to another 2,213 Kent customers, 1,781 Southeast customers and about 400 each in Brewster and Putnam Valley.
In Westchester: 1,297 Somers, 981 Yorktown and 608 in North Salem are the bulk of the 3,115 reported outages.
