Putnam SCORE Recognized For Helping Small Businesses Start, Prosper

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — 2016 turned out to be a great year for Putnam SCORE. Not only was it named the Metro District Chapter of the Year for 2016 but also received the prestigious Gold Leadership Award. The Chapter was cited for achieving excellent client satisfaction; significantly increasing the number of new and returning clients and conducting more than 20 free workshops and seminars in the community while exceeding all internal goals and objectives.

SCORE is a national nonprofit association with over 11,000 volunteers in 350 offices dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and prosper nationwide.

This Metro District encompasses New York City, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess counties.

Putnam SCORE has worked with hundreds of local entrepreneurs and business owners in private, confidential mentoring meetings and in seminars and workshops. Clients and their mentors meet as many times as needed and there is never a charge for mentoring services.

SCORE is staffed with trained volunteers from a variety of business backgrounds who are dedicated to assisting clients start their own business or to helping those already in business solve problems and/or achieve specific goals.

Individual private and confidential one- to two-hour mentoring sessions are held during the day on Monday and Thursday in Carmel, NY. Other meeting times and places may be arranged.
