Putnam Flu Vaccine Clinic Postponed Till Monday

The drive-thru event has been moved to Oct. 19. Wear short sleeves.

EDITOR'S NOTE — Putnam County health officials have moved the upcoming flu vaccine clinic to Monday due to the weather forecast.

People who already have a scheduled appointment for Friday can keep that same appointment time on Monday. A new email confirmation for the rain date will be sent. If that time is not convenient on Monday, cancellations should be made via the Monday confirmation email. Appointments are still available for rescheduling and new registrants, and will be accepted until 6 a.m. on Monday, October 19.

The clinic is being offered from 1-6:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Department of Health, at 1 Geneva Road in Brewster.

Putnam County residents 18 years of age or older may sign up. Your consent form must be completed and signed prior to the clinic, and presented at the time, along with proof of residency. Consent forms will not be available at the clinic. Forms are available here.

Remember to comply with coronavirus precautions. All residents must remain in their vehicle with a face covering. No mask? No shot.

By the way, wear a short-sleeved shirt or top. Short sleeves are necessary for vaccine administration.

Cost of the flu vaccine is $25. For persons age 65 and older or with a Medicare card, flu vaccine will be free. High dose flu vaccine will be available for those 65 and older.
