UPDATE: Route 52 Reopens After Fire

Route 52 between Dykeman Road and Vink Drive has reopened, State transportation officials said at 7:36 a.m.

Route 52 in Carmel is closed between Vink Drive and Dykeman Road after a fire overnight at a business and residence, Guchi Dog Grooming & Supplies.

Motorists going westbound are detoured from Rte 52 to Dykeman Road to Nichols Street to Gipsy Trail Road To Rte 301 and back to Rte 52. Eastbound, the detour is Rte 52 to Vink Dr - to Rte 301- to Nichols St- to Dykeman Rd- back to Rte 52.

At 6 a.m. state transportation officials were still saying that the road could be closed for another four hours.
