Don't forget to vote May 21 if you live in the Brewster school district. Here's what you need to know.

BREWSTER, NY — New York residents are asked to vote on their local school district’s budget and board of education May 19. Here are fast facts about the election in Brewster.

Voting information

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Brewster High School.

Board of Education

The school trustees whose terms expire this year are Diane O’Brien and Kristin Cacal. Running for those open seats are Krista Berardi and Scott Seaman.

School budget

  • .Proposed for 2019-20: $101,040,661
  • Increase over current spending: 3.04%
  • Tax levy increase: 4.06%

Also on the ballot:

Proposition 2: approve the purchase of buses through issuance of a Bond Anticipation Note of $753,000.
