McIe and Bottalico Headed to States: Southeast-Brewster Daily Sports Digest Feb. 28

State Track Qualifer

The below are the links from Mile Split New York for the boys and girls results from the Section 1 State Qualifying Track Meet, which was held Feb. 28 at the Armory in New York City.

The top two finishers in each event qualified for states. Third-place finishers who beat the state standards also qualified.

Qualifies Two

The below was taken from the Brewster Central School District website. We congratulate both McIe and Bottalico and wish them the best at the states:

Senior, Adam McIe and Junior, Ariana Bottalico will compete at the NY State Track & Field Championships

Congratulations BHS Senior, Adam McIe, and Junior, Ariana Bottalico, will compete at the New York State Track & Field Championships on Saturday, March 3rd at Cornell University.

Adam McIe, coming off of a season best 4:17 in the mile, will be running the 1600 meters at the State Championships. Ariana Bottalico, coming off a season best 10:16 in the 3000 meters, will be running the 3000 meters at the NY State Championships. 

County Center Tidbits

The semifinals and finals of the Section 1 boys basketball tournament are being held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains this week.
