Brewster cross-country stars shine at championships

Brewster's Justin Maguire won his second straight sectional title and Ariana Bottalico was a sectional runner-up, at the sectional championships at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls Nov. 4.
Those efforts qualified Maguire and Bottalico for the state championships at Verona Nov. 12. For Bottalico, it's the fourth year in a row she has qualified for the states.

"Both should finish in the top five or so with a great race," Brewster coach Joe Scelia said. "Justin and Ariana are incredibly hard workers and gutsy athletes. They deserve what they are achieving."
