Southeast-Brewster Patch Voter's Guide 2015

Here's info you need to exercise that citizenship on Tuesday.

Here’s a quick overview of what you need to know to be prepared Nov. 3.

Polling places

Polls are open in Putnam County from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 3.

Regional race

The 9th Judicial District includes Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties; Gretchen Walsh is running against Montgomery Delaney.

County races

The hottest countywide race is between incumbent District Attorney Adam Levy and his challanger, Putnam Valley town Supervisor Bob Tendy. Tendy beat Levy in the Republican primary in September--can he do it again? He has the GOP line, and Levy’s on the Conservative and Independence party lines on the ballot.

There’s also a Putnam County Board of Legislators race in District 7, which represents part of Southeast: Democratic John F. Riley versus Republican Joseph F. Castellano.

Local races

In Southeast, Tony Hay is unopposed in his campaign for another term as town supervisor. The contest is for town board seats: Democrats Lynne Eckardt and John Lord; Republicans Edwin Alvarez and Paul E. Jonke; and for HIghway Superintendent: Democrat Louis R. Ciaramella vs. Republican Michael E. Bruen.

In Brewster four people are running for two seats on the village board: Erin E. Meagher and Teresa P. Stockburger on the GOP and Conservative lines and Christine M. Piccini and George J. Gaspar on the Best for Brewster slate.
