Southeast Resident Accused of Shoplifting: Putnam Sheriff
The incident is alleged to have taken place at Kohl's.

Renee A. Loria, 33, is due in Southeast town court Jan. 22 to answer a charge of petty larceny.
Security at the Kohl’s department store on Independent Way called police Jan. 9 to report an alleged shoplifting incident caught on store video, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Sheriff Adam McKechnie investigated and identified Loria, a Southeast resident, as the suspect.

She went to the Sheriff’s Department in Carmel, where she was charged, processed and released pending her court date.
A charge does not indicate a conviction. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00, police said.
